On Thursday, January 17th, WE of Hudson County had our first networking event at The Brass Rail.
It was a wonderful afternoon filled with meeting new people and discovering fabulous women run businesses. Our guest speaker, Sara Laufer CPA, shared some important tax tips and information, which was extremely helpful since it is that time of year. Thanks to Sara for her insight and answering everyone's tax questions.
The meetup had a fun speed dating networking activity that helped attendees meet someone new and step outside their comfort zone. In order to get the most out of any networking event, it is essential to interact with new people. At each WE of Hudson County meetup, there will be an activity for attendees that will encourage them to do just that.
Along with having an icebreaker and networking activity, guests were also given an education tip by Sonya Salierno, as well as a networking tip by Sabrina Sarabella. Both are part of the WE of Hudson County leadership team.
Although the meetup is casual, there is a specific timeline so everyone can get the most out of the event in the allotted amount of time. The meetings are only an hour and 15 minutes.
For those who were unable to attend our next meetup is next Thursday 1/31 at The Brass Rail. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here. Our first meeting sold out, so be sure to get your tickets soon.
The guest speaker is our WE of Hudson County leadership team member Dorian Cattani from The Closet Rescue. She will discuss how she started her company, how to stand out among the competition, the importance of having a support team and give some styling tips.
If you were at our first meetup, please share your thoughts with us. WE of Hudson County meetup is working hard to bring you the best networking meetups, so any feedback is appreciated. Hope to see everyone on Thursday!
