Tell me about yourself + your business.
I am a clinical nutritionist and business coach for women. I have been in the wellness field for around 20 years and I am passionate about helping people live a happier and healthier life. After running multiple businesses and working in corporate, I wanted to help other women run their own successful business and began to business coach others. I now work with women all over the world to help them build their business.
I have lived in Hoboken for 10 years and love being an entrepreneur in this town. There are so many amazing people to work with and network with that I truly think this is the greatest town to live in and be a female business!
What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?
I was born to be an entrepreneur! My parents were both entrepreneurs running a successful technology business since I was young. I started my first real business as a teenager and I have been building business’ ever since!
What obstacles or struggles did you overcome and how did you get through it?
As an entrepreneur there are always obstacles and struggles we will go through, there will always be ups and downs that a business will go through. To overcome these struggles and obstacles I always go back to what my passion is and why I am running my business and know what I really want. I also remember that staying the course and to keep working will help me to reach my goals.
Why did you join the WE of Hudson County team?
I firmly believe that to be a successful entrepreneur you should surround yourself with other successful entrepreneurs and that networking with others is important.
Why do you think WE of Hudson County is important to the community?
We have such an amazing tight nit community that I believe networking and knowing other businesses in the community is extremely important. When we all work together to support each other then all of our businesses will be able to thrive.
What are some of your best tools you like to use to help run your business?
For Business tools I use Aweber; email campaign manager, Zoom; where I host video calls, Leadpages; where I host my landing pages and opt ins, Canva; where I do all of my graphics designs, Acuity; where I schedule out my clients, Grammerly; checks all of my grammar and spelling for any writing I do.
What advice would you give to someone who is in the beginning stages of starting their business?
Get a coach or a mentor, someone that has been through what you have been through and can help guide you. Being an entrepreneur is sometimes lonely so it is important to surround yourself with supportive people who know what its like to be an entrepreneur. Network, network, network! It is truly about who you know and being available and open to opportunities that will help your business grow.
